River levels are broadly stable on the River Thames. However, flooding of roads and low lying land is expected, particularly in areas around Sonning. Some rain is forecast for this morning (31/01/25), but clearing by this afternoon, and the forecast for the coming days is currently dry. We expect river levels to start dropping slowly over the coming days. Levels remain sensitive to further rainfall.

We are monitoring the situation and operating weirs on the Thames to manage flood risk. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 01/02/25, or as the situation changes.
