Flood alert for River Thames and its small tributaries from Calcutt to Lechlade

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames and as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected this evening and overnight, 24/11/2024, especially in the Hannington Bridge and Marston Meysey areas. Further rainfall is forecast this evening, which should clear by morning. We expect river levels to continue rising overnight and will remain high over the coming days. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Do not drive through flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 25/11/2024, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Thames and its small tributaries from Calcutt to Lechlade including The Marston Meysey Brook and The Downington Brook.
