Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are low along most of the Upper Kennet. However flooding of low lying land is expected to continue in areas close to the River Dun near Hungerford where river levels are high but stable. We expect river levels to remain high in this area for the next few days. We are monitoring the situation. The weather forecast is for another dry day today (05/03/2025) and tomorrow. There is a chance of rain on Friday, followed by a settled weekend. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated on Monday morning, 10/03/25, or as the situation changes.
Flood alert area: River Kennet from Berwick Bassett to Newbury including Winterbourne Monkton, Marlborough, Ramsbury, Hungerford, Denford, Kintbury and Newbury; also the River Og, the River Aldbourne, the Froxfield Stream, the River Dun and the River Shalbourne.
