Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for River Pang from East Ilsley to Pangbourne and Sulham Brook

Property flooding is not currently expected.

River levels are high, but falling slowly, on the River Pang following recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible today and in the days to come, especially in areas closest to the River Pang in the Tidmarsh area.

The weather forecast for this week is dry on Friday and most of Saturday with further unsettled weather expected from Sunday, 26/05/2024. River levels are expected to remain high and will be sensitive to further rainfall.

We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
