Flood alert for River Thame, Horsenden Stream and Chalgrove Brook

Property flooding is not currently expected.

River levels are high on the River Thame following recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 03/05/2024, in the lower River Thame around Stadhampton. Further rain is possible today, which has the potential to be heavy at times. The weekend is likely to mostly dry, however there is a chance of showers developing on Sunday. River levels are expected to remain high and sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days.

We are monitoring the situation. Do not drive through flood water and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 04/05/2024, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including, Long Marston, Rowsham, North Aylesbury, Cuddington, Thame, Ickford, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard, Overy, the Horsenden Stream at Princes Risborough and the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
