Flood alert for River Thame, Horsenden Stream and Chalgrove Brook

Property flooding is not currently expected.

River levels are high along the length of the River Thame following recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, Sunday, especially in the Stadhampton and Dorchester areas. Today and tomorrow are forecast to be predominantly dry, there is a chance of a band of rain passing over the area this evening. River levels are expected to slowly lower over the coming 24-48 hours. Levels will remain high and sensitive to rainfall.

Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/02/2024, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including, Long Marston, Rowsham, North Aylesbury, Cuddington, Thame, Ickford, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard, Overy, the Horsenden Stream at Princes Risborough and the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
