Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for River Thame and Chalgrove Brook

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels on the River Thame remain high but continuing to fall slowly in the Aylesbury area. Downstream of Aylesbury in Thame river levels are still high but are beginning to stabilise and should start to fall overnight . Flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue, especially in the Aylesbury and Thame areas. No further rainfall is forecast today but there could be a few light showers tomorrow afternoon. River levels have peaked and will remain steady, with no further rise forecasted. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 23/10/2021, or as the situation changes.
