Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are falling steadily on the lower sections of the River Thame. The flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue, especially in the area closest to the river around Stadhampton and Dorchester. The weather forecast is for a dry day today (03/03/2025) with a dry forecast for the next few days. We expect river levels to continue to fall over the next few days. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated on Tuesday morning, 04/03/25, or as the situation changes.
Flood alert area: River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including, Long Marston, Rowsham, North Aylesbury, Cuddington, Thame, Ickford, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard, Overy, the Horsenden Stream at Princes Risborough and the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
