High river levels may lead to flooding.

Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue tonight, 13 December 2025, between Stadhampton and Dorchester on Thames. The forecast is for a dry night. River levels are falling upstream of Stadhampton. We expect levels to remain high in the lower reaches of the River Thame over the coming days.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.

Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

Flood alert area: River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including, Long Marston, Rowsham, North Aylesbury, Cuddington, Thame, Ickford, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard, Overy, the Horsenden Stream at Princes Risborough and the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
