Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the upper River Cherwell as a result heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected this afternoon and overnight 24/11/24.

The forecast is for further heavy rainfall this afternoon 24/11/24 before a drier day tomorrow.

Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 25/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Cherwell and its tributaries from Charwelton to just above Upper Heyford including Woodford Halse, Edgcote, Cropredy, Marston St Lawrence, Banbury, Kings Sutton, Hook Norton and Croughton.
