Flood alert for Sor Brook and The Bloxham Brook and their tributaries

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the Sor and Bloxham Brooks as a result of Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected this evening 23/11/24 and overnight. Further rainfall which could be heavy at times is forecast today, overnight and tomorrow morning. We expect river levels to remain sensitive to the heavier bands of rain so although levels may fall later this evening they are expected to rise again overnight. Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens and we are monitoring the situation. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, 24/11/24, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: Sor Brook and The Bloxham Brook and their tributaries from Horley and Bloxham to and including Adderbury.
