Flood warning for River Thames from Calcutt to Lechlade including Hannington Wick

Property flooding is possible. River levels are rising steadily on the River Thames following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is possible later this evening, 26/11/24, and overnight. Areas most at risk are properties located closest to the River Thames in Hannington Wick and St Johns Priory.

The forecast is for a predominantly dry night with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024) into Wednesday. River levels are expected to continue to rise over the coming hours before stabilising overnight. We are monitoring the situation. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
