Property flooding is possible. River levels are rising steadily on the River Thames following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert and water moving downstream. Therefore, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is possible from this afternoon, 26/11/24. Levels are expected to be lower than those seen in January 2024. Areas most at risk are properties closest to the Thames on Waters Edge, Bridge Street, East St. Helens Street .

The forecast is for a predominantly dry remainder of the day with further rainfall forecast overnight (26/11/2024) into tomorrow. River levels are expected to continue to rise steadily overnight before stabilising through the day tomorrow. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services and operating weirs on the Thames to manage flood risk. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 27/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
