Flood warning for River Thame at Dorchester

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Property flooding is expected. River levels are increasing quickly on the River Thame following heavy rainfall earlier in the week from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of properties, low lying land, and roads is likely early tomorrow morning, 27/11/2024. Areas most at risk are properties closest to the river where it passes through Dorchester. The forecast is for the rain to pass overnight with a mostly dry day on Wednesday. River levels are still rising and may continue to rise again in response to water moving downstream. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid contact with flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow (27/11/2024), or as the situation changes.
