Flood alert for Groundwater flooding in the Lambourn Valley catchment
Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
Continued high groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible.
Groundwater levels are falling slowly at our Longacre borehole in the Lambourne Valley. We expect levels to fall over the next few weeks in response to a forecasted period of more settled weather. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer.
We are closely monitoring rainfall and groundwater levels.
Residents are advised to consider property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Keep up to date with groundwater levels on the 'Get Flood Warnings' site on gov.uk.
This message will be updated by 4 PM, on the 14 April 2026, or as the situation changes.
