Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely from now until tomorrow morning, Thursday 28th November. The River is rising in response to the rainfall overnight. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas on the Deben from Debenham to Ufford, including Framsden, Earl Soham, Easton, Glevering and Wickham Market, and on the Rivers Lark and Finn around Witnesham, Tuddenham St Martin, Playford and Grundisburgh. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for dry conditions after today, which will allow river levels to start returning to normal. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. Our workforce are out checking flood defences and clearing weed screens. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Thursday 28th November, or as the situation changes.
Flood alert area: The River Deben from Debenham, to and including Bromeswell, and the River Lark from Clopton to Martlesham.
