High river levels today may lead to flooding.

Flooding is possible overnight on Friday 09 January 2026. River levels are high following heavy rainfall from Storm Goretti. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas around Halesworth, Wissett, Chediston, Walpole, Huntingfield, Bramfield and Wrentham. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid low lying roads near rivers which may now be flooded.
