Flood warning for Isolated low lying properties along the tidal River Waveney

High tides and forecast weather conditions are expected to cause flooding today.  

Flooding is expected from 7:15am to 9:15am on 17.11.2025  

Areas most at risk are in St Olaves, Somerleyton, Burgh St Peter, Oulton Broad and Beccles. Roads likely to be affected include Beccles Road at St Olaves, Geldeston Lock Lane, Gillingham Dam and Fen Lane in Beccles. River levels will remain high over the next couple of days.  

We are closely monitoring the situation .  

Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals .
