Flood alert for River Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire from Brampton to Earith

High river levels today and overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 28 and 29 January 2026. Areas most at risk are around the River Great Ouse from Brampton to Earith, including Back Brook, Hall Green Brook, Parsons Drove Drain, Swavesey Drain and Wadsbys Folly. Access to properties in Berry Lane, Godmanchester, may also be affected. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 10:00am on 29 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
