Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
River levels currently remain high but steady in response to recent rainfall. This information is correct as of 07:30 on Saturday 21st December. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approximately 9 centimetres of water on the road. There are currently no issues on the Welney or Earith causeway. Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We will update this message by 16:00 today, 21/12/24.
Flood alert area: Hundred Foot Washes, also known as the Ouse Washes, including the causeways at Earith, Sutton Gault and Welney.
