Flood alert for Alconbury Brook in Cambridgeshire

River levels are falling but remain high following continued rainfall from Storm Darragh. Flooding of low lying land is still possible this evening and into tomorrow, 11/12/2024. Areas most at risk are around the Alconbury Brook at Hamerton, The Alconburys, Little Stukeley and Brampton. You are advised to move cars out of these flood risk areas. The forecast is dry this week, which will allow levels to continue to fall. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and are not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Wednesday 11th December 2024.
