Flood alert for River Ecclesbourne in Derbyshire

River levels are rising at the Duffield river gauge as a result of rainfall and snowmelt associated with Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible from this afternoon, 23/11/24. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads along the River Ecclesbourne around Duffield.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been patrolling watercourses in the area.

Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
