Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Whitwick from the Grace Dieu Brook, the Black Brook, Burleigh Brook, Wood Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook, King’s Brook and Kingston Brook. Rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. River levels at Whitwick downstream Gauge are rising rapidly due to the nature of the catchment

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
