River levels are rising at the Lisle Street river gauge as a result of rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible to begin from 21:00 today, 18/12/2024. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Kingfisher Way, Forest Road and Monarch Way from the Wood Brook, the Grace Dieu Brook, Burleigh Brook, Black Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook, King’s Brook and Kingston Brook and urban watercourses in Loughborough.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to begin rising at 19:00 today.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
