River levels are rising at the Perryfoot river gauge as a result of rainfall and snowmelt associated with Storm Bert. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the Rivers Derwent, Wye and Noe in North Derbyshire including Grinds Brook, Peakshole Water, Bradwell Brook, Stoke Brook, Bar Brook, Tideswell Brook, Warney Brook, Bentley Brook, Via Gellia and Lea Brook.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
