Forecast rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible from the evening of 02 May 2026 . 

Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the Rivers Derwent, Wye and Noe in North Derbyshire including Grinds Brook, Peakshole Water, Bradwell Brook, Stoke Brook, Bar Brook, Tideswell Brook, Warney Brook, Bentley Brook, Via Gellia and Lea Brook. Rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. River levels at Perryfoot Farm, Castleton Gauge may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment. Levels will remain high until tomorrow morning, 03/05/26. 

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
