Flood alert for River Wye in Derbyshire

High river levels mean the risk of flooding continues. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Ashford and Bakewell areas. No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Ashford gauge are falling but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 18 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
