Forecast high river levels tomorrow may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 26 August 2026 From mid-morning into the afternoon and evening. 

Areas most at risk are low-lying roads and land around the brooks in Leicester City, including recreational land where water depths could become hazardous. Areas particularly at risk include those around the Braunstone Brook, Lubbesthorpe Brook, Melton Brook, Saffron Brook, Willow Brook, Bushby Brook, Evington Brook, Thurnby Brook and Scraptoft Brook. Heavy rainfall is forecast throughout the day from the early hours of tomorrow, 26/08/2026 with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Thursday, 27/08/2026, with lighter persistent rainfall through Friday, 

We are closely monitoring the situation & clearing debris from weed screens. 

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses & monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
