River levels remain high but steady at the Colwick river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of property flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Thrumpton and Barton Ferry.
No further significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to begin falling tomorrow, 09/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
