River levels are rising at the Darlaston river gauge as a result of Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible to begin this morning, 24/11/24. We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Trent between Darlaston and Great Haywood including Stone.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Monday, 25/11/24.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast and clearing weed screens.

Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses.

This message will be updated 25/11/24, or as the situation changes.
