Flood alert for River Anker and River Sence

River levels are rising at the Mancetter river gauge as a result of Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible this afternoon and in to this evening 27/11/24 . We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Anker between Nuneaton and Tamworth the River Sence between Temple Mill and Ratcliffe Culey.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow 28/11/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
