Rising river levels today may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 28 February 2026 and into Sunday 1 March. 

River levels are rising at Hopwas and will continue to do so through the weekend.

Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Tame between Hopwas and the National Arborteum at Alrewas. 

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 

Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
