Rising river levels today have led to flooding.

Flooding is possible on 28 February 2026 .

River levels are continuing to rise at the Castle Farm gauge so the risk of flooding remains. We expect levels to peak on Saturday afternoon. Some light rainfall is expected in the next 24hours

Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Blythe between Cheswick Green and Blyth End.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .

Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
