High river levels today may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 13 February 2026 . 

Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Shrewsbury to Church Stretton. Other locations that may be affected include Minsterley, Pontesford and Harrington. The floodplain will shortly start to fill adjacent to the Hookagate gauge on the left bank. 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
