Flood warning for River Wye in North Hereford
River levels are rising at the Old Wye Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in North Hereford including Greyfriars area.
Predicted peak:- Old Wye Bridge 4.8m to 4.9m Thursday evening, 17/10/24.
We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences, and liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please avoid contact with flood water.
