River levels continue to rise at the Ross-On-Wye and Lydbrook river gauges following heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible from this evening, 25/11/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Lydbrook. The B4234 at Lower Lydbrook is affected.
Predicted peaks:- Lydbrook 5.7m to 5.9m overnight Monday into Tuesday, 26/11/2024, Ross on Wye 4.5m to 4.76m on Monday evening, 25/11/2024.
No further significant rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours, but showers are possible. We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
