Flooding is expected - act now

Flood warning for River Severn at Apperley and The Leigh

River levels are rising at the Haw Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect Gabb Lane at Apperley and local caravan parks. Predicted Peak at Haw Bridge 4.9 to 5.1m on Saturday morning, 30/03/24.

Further unsettled weather is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.

Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
