Flood warning for River Severn at Hanley Castle, Rectory Road in Upton upon Severn and Saxons Lode

River levels are rising at the Saxons Lode river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, the 25/11/24. We expect flooding to affect property and roads in and around Hanley Castle and Saxons Lode. Predicted Peak:- Saxons Lode 4.8m to 5.1m overnight tonight.

We expect river levels to remain high until Thursday the 28/11/24.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.

Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
