Flood warning for River Severn at Clifton and Severn Stoke

River levels are rising at the Kempsey Yacht Club river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, the 25/11/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Clifton and Severn Stoke. Predicted Peaks:- Saxons Lode 4.8m to 5.1m overnight tonight, Kempsey Yacht Club 6.6m to 7m this evening the 25/11.
We expect river levels to remain high until Thursday the 28/11/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
