Flood warning for River Severn at Hampton Loade and Highley

River levels are rising at the Bridgnorth river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected from 9am tomorrow morning, Tuesday 26/11/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and road in and around Hampton Loade Highley. Predicted Peak at Bridgnorth 4.2 to 4.4m on Tuesday evening.
No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours although showers are possible. We expect river levels to remain high for a few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
