Flood warning for River Severn at Shrawardine, Montford Bridge and Mytton

River levels are rising at the Montford river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is imminent. We expect flooding to affect properties in the Montford Bridge area.

Predicted peak at Montford 5.9m to 6.2 on Monday afternoon, 25/11/2024.

No further significant rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours but showers are possible. We expect river levels to remain high for several days.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.

Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
