Flood warning for River Avon at Strensham and Bredon

River levels are rising at the Evesham river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall.

Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, Sunday 24/11/24.

We expect flooding to affect properties and roads around Mill Lane, Strensham.

Predicted peaks:-

Evesham 2.5m to 2.7m tomorrow afternoon, Monday 25/11/24.

Bredon 2.9m to 3.1m on Tuesday morning, 26/11/24.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.

We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.

Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
