Flood warning for River Avon at Birlingham and Eckington

River levels are rising at the Evesham river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of propert, roads and farmland is expected Monday evening, 25/11/24 and into Tuesday morning, 26/11/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in Birlingham and Eckington as well as the area near Riverside Caravan Park. Predicted peak:- Evesham 3.0m to 3.2m at Monday night, 25/11/24 into Tuesday morning, 26/11/24.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next couple of days.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.

Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
