Flood alert for Coast at North Morecambe Bay

High tides are expected from Monday 31st March through to Wednesday 2nd April which may cause flooding to low lying areas along the coast.
This flood alert covers the high tide between 00:45 BST on 1/04/2025 and 02:45 BST on 1/04/2025, with the highest tide level expected around 01:45 BST. Tomorrow lunchtimes tide will also be at Flood Alert with the highest tide level expected around 14:00 BST 1/04/25
Areas most at risk include Coast at North Morecambe Bay from Roosebeck to Carnforth including low lying areas around Ulverston, Greenodd, Haverthwaite, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, Levens, Milnthorpe, Sandside, Arnside and Silverdale.
We are monitoring the situation and we are closing flood gates, where needed. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads.
