Local flooding from surface water and rivers is probable in parts of England, and possible more widely, today (Sunday) and Monday, with some risk from rivers potentially extending into Tuesday. This is due to a combination of heavy rain and snowmelt in places. Local flooding is possible but not expected from rivers and surface water in parts of the south of England on Wednesday and Thursday. Land, roads and some properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.

Localised coastal flooding is possible but not expected on exposed parts of the east coast of England during the evening tides today and Monday. Spray and wave over-topping may lead to localised flooding of land and roads. Land, roads and some properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.
